How To: "Unstick" a Window from the Taskbar

The first time this ever happened to me was on a server with a single monitor. We were in the middle of an implementation, installing an application that had somehow gotten minimized. When we tried to re-open the window, it just didn't happen. I could not close the window, could not restore it, nothing! It was acting like it had been opened in a secondary monitor, but since there was no secondary monitor that did not bode well.
Enter this simple answer--that I ALWAYS somehow seem to forget: Hold down the Shift key while right-clicking on the running program entry in the task bar. Then click Maximize. It works like magic--still to this day 5 or 6 years later, just proving the point that no matter how much things change, they stay the same.
So remember, next time your window gets "stuck" in the taskbar, Hold down the Shift key and right-click on the running program entry in the task bar, then click the Maximize option. (Or you could close it if you don't have unsaved changes!)
