Man you gotta love those calls when they start coming in..."Is the internet down? I can't get to xyz.com..." Another one of my Favorite Fast and Free (not to mention Super Simple) tools is

Down for Everyone or Just Me? It is a quick and easy way to check to see if the site is 'alive' for others. Just go to http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ and plug in the url of the site in question. If it is up for others but not you, it helps narrow the issue down to something in your environment-very quickly, just like that.

However, many times I've plugged in an address and found that *gasp* according to the definition given above--The Internet is Indeed Down! (At least that small part of it! LOL) It is very useful to be able to tell users that yes, it appears that the site you are trying to reach is having issues and I'm sure they are working diligently to address them!
