Resetting the TCP/IP Stack can be done for a number of reasons and should be a very simple process.
Very basically you should:
1. Run the command prompt as administrator
2. Type in the following: netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
If you are on a machine that fails the process, you will get Resetting, Failed and Access is Denied in the results after you run the command.
You may need to change a registry setting in order to fix this*. Editing your registry incorrectly can lead to some very bad things! Always make sure to follow best practices while working with the registry-the first of which being to BACK IT UP. I can't be held liable for issues that may crop up from you editing your registry.
*Some people say the error message does not matter and that the important parts get processed. Others say you need to edit the registry in order for it to work. If you are in with the first group, run the command, restart your computer and see if it works for you. If it doesn't you may want to consider completing the registry edit. You can find a great video how-to on youtube.
